Envi & Sage is an independent design boutique featuring custom, hand-illustrated designs inspired by the thoughts, feelings, and moods that arise from everyday experiences, where ever inspiration is found.

Redesigning Life

Envi and Sage was founded in 2022 by Cat Carbone, a creative thinker, coffee drinker, and animal lover. After spending the majority of her professional life committed to corporate environments, she was feeling unfulfilled, overworked, underappreciated, and on the edge of depression. This is no way to spend your life. Never one to wait for someone else to create her opportunities, she shifted her mindset, focus, and goals and set out to create the healthier and happier environment that would support growth. She took a leap and threw herself back into illustrating and art. The time spent freely creating, and learning through that creation was the therapeutic process that helped her gain back her creative confidence and motivated her to start following her intuition again.

Her vision was a place where design isn’t restricted by opinions, creativity is truly free, and possibilities are endless. In 2021 Cat launched Envisage Key Concepts, LLC, an independent design studio specializing in visual identity and brand design. Visit the site to view a portfolio of commercial work. In 2022, she launched her e-commerce brand, Envi & Sage.

Envi first opened on Etsy. In 2023, Envi partnered with Walmart Marketplace where products were available through their online platform. In 2024, Envi & Sage launched their new home, enviandsage.co. Cat is responsible for every aspect of her business, from all product and website design to operations.

In a world where products are mass produced, copied, and available at cheap prices, the work for small businesses in this space is cut out for us. Every design found in this shop is a custom design. I constantly research ways to offer the best quality while maintaining affordable prices. Production providers are selected based on product selection, quality, production costs, and location within the United States.

Working with domestic production partners allows us to focus on putting the unique and original in the products we offer. While some materials are sourced overseas, ALL products are designed in Virginia, and produced, packaged, and shipped in the United States.

Envi & Sage is still brand new and has a long way to go to influence an anything but ordinary attitude. My production partners allow me, as a tiny business owner, the opportunity to grow while focusing on producing new designs and delivering experiences that build connections.

Remaining personally involved with everything from design to operations is a priority. This is my purpose and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share it. Above all, I hope to inspire others to overcome obstacles and take leaps. We spend the majority of our lives working, so spend it doing what you love."
